The Jefferies Family consists of small group of caring and committed board and selection committee members, dedicated support staff, generous employees of Jefferies, and of course the recipients of the program. Over the past 35 years, The Jefferies Family has grown tremendously, helping hundreds of students pursue their academic goals, each with his or her own story, challenges, interests and dreams.

I have been incredibly fortunate to have received the scholarship for these past years, and I have not forgotten that feeling of receiving it for the first time. In a system of higher education where money acts as a filter for many students, regardless of talent, I cannot overstate the importance and significance of such a large scholarship grant.
