While at Rowlet High School, Ashleigh was an honors student, very active in scholastics, and UIL sports. Her favorite courses in high school were Algebra and Pre-Calculus and Physics. She played soccer competitively, ran cross country and was also cheerleader during her freshman and sophomore years. Outside of school, Ashleigh is very involved in her church's youth-group activities and volunteers with Equest Therapeutic Riding Center, an organization that provides horseback riding as a vehicle to rehabilitate children with disabilities. I am thankful to Jefferies Family Scholarship for giving me the support and tools to succeed at SUNY Cortland and the opportunity to study abroad at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Academically, my grades have vastly improved due to my rigorous study habits and your belief in my ability to succeed.
